Lamezia Greco from the Lento winery is a wine that expresses in purity a precise varietal character endowed with freshness, minerality and finesse. Tenuta Romeo, in the Lamezia DOC area, facing south-west, in a hilly position at approximately 250 metres above sea level, is entirely dedicated to the Greco Bianco grape variety, a mirror of the culture and the very essence of the Mediterranean. The vineyard is cultivated with the low spurred cordon system, and insists on loose soils, rich in skeleton and highly draining. The grapes are selected and harvested manually, reaching the cellar intact. They are then subjected to soft pressing and the must, unfiltered by cold static decantation, is inoculated with selected yeasts and left to ferment at a temperature of 18°C.
Characteristics of the white wine Lamezia Greco
With a pale straw yellow color; it has a balanced aroma, with notes of ripe apricot and hints of citrus and apple. To the taste it is harmonious and with a fresh acidity which is followed by a delicately fruity finish.
Recommended pairings with this Calabrese white wine
It pairs with fresh dishes such as pasta and rice salad and fish-based first and second courses. It can also be perfectly combined with delicate white meats.
