Rocca di Frassinello Bianco is the flagship white wine of the Rocca di Frassinello estate, a part of the Tuscan Maremma region born from the Italian-French collaboration between great names in wine. The wine is produced mainly from Vermentino grapes selected from the most suitable vineyards on the property, characterised by soils rich in skeleton and calcareous marl and the constant influence of breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel, and the wine remains on the lees for a long time, about ten months, a technical choice that increases its complexity, structure, and ability to evolve over time.
Characteristics of this Tuscan wine
From an organoleptic point of view it has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose it is fine and elegant, with delicate scents of white flowers and citrus notes that give an immediate sensation of freshness, accompanied by a clear mineral imprint. In the mouth it is full and silky, supported by a good acidity that lengthens the drink and by a savoury component that gives it precision and verticality. The finish is long, balanced and consistent with the olfactory sensations, with an aromatic persistence that leaves room for citrus and mineral returns.
Recommended pairings with this white wine
It is a very versatile wine that lends itself to different types of cuisine. It pairs naturally with fish dishes, both grilled and in more delicate preparations such as raw and shellfish, but also with white meats that are not too elaborate. It also works well with vegetable-based first courses or light Mediterranean recipes, where freshness and flavor find a harmonious balance with the food. The ideal service temperature is between 10 and 12 °C.
