The red wine Pollenza is a product from the Marche region produced by the “Il Pollenza” cellar. The wine il Pollenza is a red wine composed by the Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot e Petit Verdot grapes. The blending creates a prestigious IGT which was produced for the first time in 2001. It is produced by a medium deep ground almost clay. The cultivation method is the cordon spur which is picked at the end of August and the half of September. The fermentation takes place in vitrified cementer tanks. The organoleptic characteristics of the wine underline a marked elegance and refinement with sweet tannins with a soft structure and an intense and persistent aftertaste.

It has to be matched with white and red meats also in humid but not very structured and spicy. It is perfect with cheeses and main courses such as pasta with vegetables and meat ragù. The fresh pasta is ideal with the Pollenza.
