From the ingneous terraces of the Monte Gorna vineyards there are produced the grapes of this Etna Rosso Riserva wine which has a great complexity. The prevalence are Nerello Mascalese grapes which is the main Etna vineyard that only among these black lands it can achieve its best organoleptic characteristics with a remarkable mineral taste. The profit is low; the picking is manual with a careful selection. The maturation lasts 4 years with two years in French oak barrels of second or third passage which give the smell and taste aromas. The cultivation soils are volcanic and sandy, rich of minerals and located at 700-750 meters above the sea level with remarkable thermal excursion. The cultivation method is the trellised with cordon spur pruning. There is a cold maceration for 24 hours. Then it takes place the fermentation in contact with the peels for 3 weeks at 22°C. It follows the French oak barrels aging period for 24 months and finally 12 months in bottle.

It has a light ruby red color almost garnet. The smell has spicy aromas with licorice, dog rose, dry fruits and flowers hints. It has a remarkable aromas bouquet. The taste is lively, fresh, with soft tannins. It is elegant, structured, harmonic and complex with a long persistence.
