This red wine of the Firriato winery boasts the I.G.T. Terre Siciliane. The grape variety used for its vinification is that of Nero d'Avola in purity. The origin is that of the Agro di Trapani in the Dàgala Borromeo Estate. The harvest, which involves hand-picking of the grapes, starts in the last days of September. The vinification follows the traditional red method in thermo-controlled stainless steel tanks. Finally, the refinement of the wine which extends for at least 6 months in American oak barrels.
Chiaramonte Nero d’Avola Firriato’s features
An intense ruby red colour, characterized by vivid purple hues on the edge. The perfume shows an impeccable and fragrant fruit, of surprising clarity, from which aromas emerge, alternating plum, blackberries, black cherries and blueberries, cloves, black pepper, licorice, dark chocolate and humus. The taste has a strong character, well tempered by silky and persuasive tannins; extraordinary, the correspondence between nose and mouth.
