Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG PLANETA

 Our Cerasuolo di Vittoria grows in the countries of Dorilli, between the sea and Iblei mountains, that are famous for the excellent food of Sicily. The name of the unique DOCG in the island comes from “cerasa”, that means cherry in the local dialect. This fabulous wine is produced with Nero d’Avola and Frappato. A unique, unforgettable product that expresses hints of cherry, strawberry and grapefruit, given by the composition of the soil and the climate that characterize this territory. It is a blend composed by 60% Nero d’ Avola and 40% Frappato. The soft pressing and the elimination of stalks are followed by 14 days maceration on skins. Fermentation and aging are managed at 23°C in inox containers.

Features of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG wine

Deep red colour enriched by energic scents that recall red fruits, strawberries, mulberry and grapefruit. This version of Cerasuolo is appreciated for its spicy hints. Its taste is characterized by black pepper and sweet dark cherries. Its final is savoury and round.

Perfect with sliced tuna light browned, with mushrooms, game and pizza. You can drink it young or age it for 6-8 years. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass.
