This is the most prestigious “riserva” wine of the Sordo winery. The Barolo Perno is produced in the comune di Monforte d’Alba hamlet. It is used the 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The cultivation is located in Perno one of the most prestigious area in Monforte. It has an intense and deep wine with a bright and clean aspect, wide and complex in the aromas with ripen fruity hints which make it noble and austere with powerful tannins connected to the sapid taste and the structure of this wine. The wine making process occurs in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. The maturation lasts 6 months in stainless steel tanks. There is the maturation for 48 months in Slavonia oak barrels.

The color has remarkable and intense tones. The smell has a wide, intense and persistent bouquet. It is winy with ripen fruits, noble woods, spices and licorices aromas. The palate is warm, acid with sweet tannins. It has a persistent and long-living aromatic final.
