The Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC is a traditional red wine of the Piedmont produced by the company Giovanni Manzone which is located in Monforte D’Alba in the Langhe. The great territory, the good altitude and the slope of the vineyards contributes to the production of the greatest quality wines. The grapes are 100% Barbera picked in the second half of September. The maceration on peels is for 10 days, follows 16 months of refinement in big barrels.
Characteristics of this red wine
Esthetically it has an intense ruby red color with some violet reflections after ageing. The scent fruity with some clear red fruits and tobacco aromas. The taste is warm, soft with a great balance and great persistence.

It has to be served in medium large wine glass at 16-18°C. It is ideal to be drunk with second dishes such as the filet.
