The brand Corte Giara was founded in 1989 by an initiative of the family Allegrini to enhance this area of Valpolicella in order to offer wine high-value, easier and more affordable, wines true to tradition with a more modern appeal. Amarone della Valpolicella DOC is a red wine that has always played an important role in the Veronese tradition. The grapes that give life to this wine are: 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% Rondinella; cultivated in Cavaion Veronese in the hills of Lake Garda. The harvest is done strictly by hand, selecting only the best grapes that are dried for about 4 months. After a fermentation of 20-25 days, the wine is aged in stainless steel for 5 months, 15 months in wooden barrels and finally 6 months in bottle.
Characteristics of this great wine from Veneto
Its color is intense ruby red. The aroma is characteristic of this wine, ripe red fruit and luscious followed by a spicy finish with notes of clove and tobacco. To the palate it is sleek and aggressive in complete harmony between the acidity of the wine and the softness of the fruit.
