This Amarone cru from the renowned Masi winery comes from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes and is produced in limited quantities, kept in the private cellar of the Boscaini family. The bunches are carefully selected and then left to dry for 3 months; it then moves on to fermentation in steel for 45 days, malolactic fermentation in oak and refinement: its prestige derives from the fact that the aging requires 36 months, partly in Slavonian oak and partly in small Allier casks. Another 6 months of aging in the bottle follow.
Characteristics of this wine from the Veneto region
It has a very intense ruby red color and a very intense olfactory profile of berries, aromatic herbs and spices but also graphite. On the palate it is soft and with a very delicate tannic texture; the finish is balsamic.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent with roasts, braised meats, game and savory cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
