A wine produced by the vinification of one of the most prestigious grapes of Sardinia, 100% pure Torbato. The origin falls within the company of Sella&Mosca, near Alghero. The age of the vines is about 20 years. The vinification involves soft pressing; static cold decantation; inoculum selected yeasts; first fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 18 º C; foam intake (second fermentation) in stainless steel autoclaves for 20 days at 18°C. Finally, the wine is aged on the lees, in stainless steel for 3 months.
Characteristics of this Sparkling from Sardinia
The organoleptic examination shows a brilliant straw yellow colour. The aroma on the nose spreads between a beautiful bouquet of acacia flowers and pink grapefruit, followed by subtle hints of yeast and bread crust. The taste is fragrant and creamy at the same time, dynamic and savory, good length.
Suggested pairings with the "Alghero Torbato Brut"
A wine from Sardinia to choose for the aperitif. It should be served in a high and wide glass that allows the aromas to flow, at 8°C.
