CANTINE TORRI

Cantine Torri is a historic winery in Abruzzo, located in the province of Teramo, among the hills that extend between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso massif. The winery was founded in 1966 within the Abruzzo winemaking tradition and has developed over time as a company deeply rooted in the area and its agricultural vocation, maintaining strong roots in the vineyard hills of the Torano Nuovo, Controguerra, and Colonnella areas. One of the main features of the winery is its strong territorial identity: the vineyards extend over approximately 60 hectares in a hilly area between 100 and 300 metres above sea level, where the climate is influenced both by Adriatic currents and by the proximity of the mountain. This combination creates ideal conditions for viticulture, with grapes that develop good aromatic ripeness while maintaining freshness and natural acidity. Cantine Torri's production philosophy is based on a balance between tradition and innovation: on the one hand, respect for Abruzzo's agricultural history, and on the other, a modern approach in the winery and vineyard, with attention to grape quality and local development. In recent years, the company has also embarked on a path oriented towards sustainability and, in part, organic production, with practices that aim to reduce environmental impact and preserve soil vitality. From an oenological point of view, production is centered on native Abruzzo grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina. Red wines are generally structured and rich, with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo as the main expression, while whites are distinguished by freshness, saltiness and drinkability. The overall style is marked by regional typicality, with wines designed to be immediate but also capable of expressing the character of the territory.
