Wine description
From a blend of Primitivo, Negroamaro and Aglianico grapes comes this red wine from the Apulian Varvaglione winery. Vinification involves three weeks of maceration with controlled fermentation between 18 and 22 C°. The final ageing phase involves 9 months in large barrels and several months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has an intense red colour with garnet reflections. The olfactory notes evoke apricot, dried fruit, honey and liquorice. On the palate it is soft with good persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Try it in combination with first courses with sauces and main courses of red meat. Serve at a temperature of 16-20 C°.
