From 100% pure Sangiovese grapes. The origin is the classic one of Tuscany, in the DOCG area of Montalcino. Harvest takes place in the first half of September with the grapes in perfect degree of ripeness. Vinification involves cold pre-fermentation maceration, spontaneous fermentation and maceration on the skins for 10 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Sangiovese is selected in order to preserve freshness and fruity profile. At last, the refinement of the wine which is then aged in second passage French oak barriques and in Slavonian oak barrels.
Rosso di Montalcino DOC Argiano’s features
A bright ruby red color. The nose is extremely mineral and characterized by marked cherry notes. The taste is energetic, with good acidity, tannins present but balanced and well concentrated.
