The Ribolla Gialla DOC of the Meroi winery is locally called “the gold wine on the palate” for the particular quality that it has. It is produced on the east hills of Friuli in Buttrio in the Udine province. It is made with 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes. They are exposed at south-east and south at 140 meters above the sea level. The soil is marl and the cultivation method is the French Guyot with the picking of the grapes in the first half of October up to the third week. The fermentation under temperature control occurs in barrels for 20 days. There is a first passage in barrels for 10 months and a second passage for 2 months. The light clarifying process and the filtering occurs before the bottling.

The Ribolla Gialla DOC is one of the main product of the wine production from Friuli and it has a straw yellow color with intense light green reflections. The smell has floral and fruity aromas, very elegant that reminds the green apple, the yellow peach and the lemon. The taste is dry, lively, fresh and the aftertaste is lightly aromatic. The structure is intense.
