Wine description
From the heart of Valle d'Itria, the ‘land of Trulli’ located between Bari and the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto, comes this Apulian red wine from the Tenute Girolamo winery. For its production, pure Negroamaro grapes are used, which after the harvest undergo soft maceration, followed by fermentation in steel and finally a long ageing in French oak barriques for 12 months. A further ageing phase of a further 6 months in the bottle is foreseen.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has a very intense ruby red colour. The olfactory profile is decidedly fruity, with notes of cherry and plum. Good persistence on the palate, with a harmonious tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Perfect with savoury first courses, red meat and game. Serve at a temperature of 18-20 C°.
