The Langhe Rosso DOC Notte di Luna wine of the Filari di Luna winery is produced by a blend composed by a 50% Nebbiolo and 50% Barbera. The vines are cultivated with the French Guyot method on young vines planted in 1997 at 210 meters above the sea level at the Castagnito hamlet. The grape harvest takes place during the first 20 days of October depending on the maturation. The alcoholic fermentation lasts 10-12 days under temperature control in steel tanks. There are several pumping over of the must to have the right extraction of the polyphenolic substances. An additional refinement takes place in oak barrels and finally other 6 months in bottle.
