Wine description
Made from 100% Barbera grapes, this red wine from the Cantina Piemontese Saracco, whose vineyards are located in Castiglione Tinella and Castagnole delle Lanze. After the harvest, the wine is vinified in red and then fermented in steel tanks. The aging requires a stop in large barrels for about 1 year and then proceed with assembly and bottling. Before being destined for the trade it faces a further permanence in bottle.
Characteristics of this Piedmontese wine
It has a very intense ruby red color and a decidedly fruity aroma, with notes of ripe fruit. The palate is dry, savory but with a good harmony.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Piedmont
Excellent with important dishes and with red meat and game, to try with medium-aged cheeses.
