BOTTEGA
The Bottega SpA winery has its roots far back in time, with a history dating back to the 17th century. As early as 1635, the founder Andrea Bottega cultivated vines in the hills of Refrontolo, in the heart of what is now Prosecco Superiore, starting a family tradition linked to viticulture that has been passed down for generations. Over the centuries, the family has maintained a strong connection with the world of wine, passing through the figure of Domenico Bottega, a grape merchant and expert, until reaching the real turning point in 1977, when Aldo Bottega founded the distillery in Pianzano di Godega di Sant'Urbano. In the following years, the company grew rapidly thanks to technical innovations, such as the production of single-varietal grappa and a more modern approach to distillation, which made the products more elegant and accessible. A key moment came in 1992, when the distillery was joined by the winery and the “Il Vino dei Poeti” line was born, marking the official entry into the world of wine and especially Prosecco. From that moment on, Bottega developed as a complete reality, capable of combining wine production and distillation, while maintaining a strong family identity. Today the winery is an international company, present in over 160 countries and with hundreds of awards, but it continues to maintain a close bond with the Veneto region. The main headquarters is located in a large renovated farmhouse near Conegliano, surrounded by vineyards and designed according to environmental sustainability criteria. Among Bottega's most distinctive features is its dual soul as a winery and distillery, which allows it to produce not only wines and sparkling wines, but also grappa and liqueurs. Another defining element is the focus on innovation and image, evident for example in iconic metallized bottles such as the famous Bottega Gold, which revolutionized design in the world of Prosecco. Alongside its tradition and innovation, the company also stands out for its strong international vocation and original projects such as “Prosecco Bar”, designed to spread the culture of Italian aperitifs throughout the world.
