BONFADINI
In the heart of Franciacorta, more precisely in Clusane d'Iseo, stands the Bonfadini Company. Founded in 1956 by Giovanni, the business is now in the hands of his grandchildren Francesca and Andrea, who carry on the work of their grandfather and then their father thanks to a strong passion and dedication. Franciacorta refers to an area in the province of Brescia extending west of the city between the Mella and Oglio rivers, an Italian wine-producing area of national reference for the production of Metodo Classico: here the soil is of glacial origin and the presence of moraine stones causes the stones to absorb the heat of the sun during the day and give way at night; the soil also provides good drainage of excess water. The Bonfadini vineyard covers a portion of land of approximately 20 hectares, managed using the most modern precision agriculture techniques. Thanks to a high density of stumps per hectare and spur-cord pruning, few but high-quality bunches are obtained which inevitably give rise to large bubbles.
