The Filari di Luna winery is located in the southern area of the Cuneo province at Mango, where the soil is rich of clay marl and where there are great weather conditions perfect for business vineyards. The Dolcetto vines, used at 100% for the production of this wine, are cultivated with the French Guyot method at 510 meters above the sea level, exposed at South west. The harvest begins at the half of September until the end of the month or the first decade of October. The final refinement lasts 3 months in steel barrels and additional 1 month in bottle.
Characteristics of this red wine from Piedmont
This wine has a purple red colour with dark red reflections. It has some mixed berries flavours such as black berry and currant. The taste is very fruity with an almond aroma. There is a great balance between the tannins which gives freshness and dryness to the taste.
