Wine description

The most valuable label of the winery Cordero di Montezemolo. A wine that embodies prestige, tradition and wisdom as well as skill in winemaking. The grape variety used for its vinification is 100% pure Nebbiolo. The origin is the historical wine of the estate, obtained from the careful assembly of most of the Monfalletto vineyards in the municipality of La Morra. The harvest took place from the end of September and lasted until the end of October.For vinification each vineyard that is harvested when they have all the uniform characteristics that provide exposure, age, soil, planting sixth, and clones and immediately vinified on their own. All the maceration lasts for at least 4/5 days and takes place in stainless steel tanks as well as the completion of fermentation for the next 10/12 days, after which the wine transferred in barrels of various sizes and type performs malolactic fermentation. Finally, the aging of the wine is expected that all the various lots carry out a period of aging in various types of wood, French and Slavonia for a period between 18 and 24 months, after which the final assembly and bottling takes place.After a year the bottles are ready for marketing.

 

Barolo MONFALLETTO DOCG's features

The organoleptic examination of Barolo Monfalletto wine, typical of Piedmont and Italian tradition, shows an intense garnet red color. The nose reveals floral and spicy sensations perfectly mixed: tobacco, cherry in spirit, cocoa and fresh raspberry in evidence. The taste on the palate is rich, full-bodied and elegant.

A wine of great prestigi that is ideal paired with dishes of game and game, hare in civet, braised beef, chamois, saddle of roe deer, wild boar, deer and partridges. Superb with dishes enriched with Alba White Truffle: cardi pie with fondue and duck ravioli. The optimal serving temperature is 18 º C.
