The prestigious producing company Arnaldo Caprai in Montefalco works since many years (at least 4 generations) with the succession of the knowledge within generations until the creation of best expression of  the Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 25 anni (25 years). This wine is produced with Sagrantino di Montefalco grapes at 100%. The first year was produce in 1993. It is used the cordon spur pruning with a density of 6000-8000 units per hectare. The profit is 50 quintals per hectare. The aging which occurs in French oak barrels for 12 months. It follows the bottle refinement of 8 months.

It is surprising, complex with blackberry and rose jam aromas, nutmeg, pepper, pine resin, mint, cloves and cacao flavors with a soft, warm and persistent taste. The freshness is inviting, elegant and tannic.

The Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 25 anni is perfect with roasted and grilled lamb. The black truffle, the game and the cheeses are perfect matches too. It has to be served at 18°-20°C in Ballon or Bordeaux wine glasses to spread the aromas.
