Hendrick's
Described by the Wall Street Journal as the best gin in the world, the Hendrick's brand and its distinctive packaging bottles are a true icon for fans of this distillate. The place of origin of this distillery is the Ayrshire region of Scotland and it has been produced since 1999 in the Girvan Distillery using two stills, the Carter Head and the Bennet Still: after years of experimentation, the recipe was perfected and finally fine-tuned by the master distiller, the visionary Lesley Gracie. The procedure for creating this sensational distillate requires a distillation process of at least 12 hours with maceration of the botanicals in spirit for 24 hours or steamed and then infused. To the 11 botanicals normally used (yarrow, coriander, juniper, chamomile, caraway seed, cubeb berries, elderberry, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica root and iris root) are added Bulgarian rose petals and German cucumber, creating the unmistakable taste of this Scottish gin, perfect to enjoy neat or as a base for cocktails.
